Mandarin red organic essential oil is obtained by cold pressing the outer fruit peel of the fruit of the mandarin orange tree (Citrus reticulata). It has a sweet, fruity-fresh fragrance with characteristic tangerine notes. The main component of red mandarin essential oil is limonene, which can have a content of up to 80%. It also contains γ-terpinene, myrcene and pinene isomers in lower concentrations.

In the cosmetics industry, the frequently advertised skin metabolism-stimulating and circulation-promoting properties are utilised to care for oily skin as well as skin prone to stretch marks, thus reducing the perception of redness and cellulite.
Mandarin oil is also suitable for perfume production. The characteristic fragrance is a great addition to compositions of fresh top and fantasy notes. Mandarin oil is also used to fragrance toiletries (soap, room fresheners, cleaning products).
In aromatherapy, the scent of mandarin oil is said to calm, prevent or alleviate stress and nervous states and brighten the mood.
