INCI: Polyglyceryl-4-Oleate

Polyglyceryl-4-Oleate PGMO.4 is a PEG-free non-ionic emulsifier for oil-in-water emulsions such as creams and lotions, especially for essential oils. It is an ideal raw material for use in natural cosmetics.
It is characterised above all by its skin-friendly and low-odour properties, which is why a perfume oil is not necessarily required.

An oil-to-milk formulation can be produced very simply with this emulsifier.
At a concentration of 20% in the cleansing oil or oil-to-milk formulation, we have a very rich skin feeling when applying it and at the same time it is practically non-sticky. As soon as it comes into contact with water, the system emulsifies and can be easily washed off again. It leaves a pleasant, moisturising and smoothing effect.
It generally works well with oils with an iodine value greater than 80, such as almond oil, wheat germ oil, hemp oil, wild rose oil, etc. It does not work with jojoba oil, avocado oil, shea butter, coconut oil, babussu oil or neutral oil, for example!

Processing instructions:
With polyglyceryl-4-oleate, we have a molecule with a very high degree of esterification, which is why we create a rather rich texture here.
It generally dissolves very well in the fat phase, but if it doesn't work, it usually helps to heat the fat phase while stirring.
