INCI: Adansonia digitata seed oil
The high content of saturated fatty acids predestines it as a substitute for vegetable butter in moisture-binding, fluid emulsions.
It protects the skin from transepidermal water loss and has a smoothing, pronounced "enveloping" and barrier-protecting effect.
In terms of its fatty acid spectrum, the high palmitic acid content should be mentioned, which at approx.23% exceeds that of other oils. This gives it good oxidative stability. Baobab oil also has a very well-balanced ratio of palmitic acid (approx. 34-38%) and linoleic acid (approx.29%).
