Peptides are small proteins that fulfil numerous functions in nature. For example, as messenger substances in plants or as hormones in the human body. These compounds of protein building blocks trigger cell metabolism as signal substances. This means increased collagen synthesis, better regeneration and cell formation of the skin.

Peptides therefore play an important role in the development of "anti-aging" cosmetics. Their degradation products, the amino acids, also occupy a prominent position in the field of skin care.

Tetrapeptide-21 MB is a new bioactive tetrapeptide that is able to significantly increase the activity of collagen fibres. Tetrapeptide-21 MB minimises the appearance of wrinkles and reduces the roughness of the Skin.
