If you mix Lumorol® K 5229 with oil, it makes a very good cleaning product for foaming shower or bath oils. When it comes into contact with water, it emulsifies automatically to form a white oil-in-water (O/W) emulsion. It foams well even with a high oil content.

Lumorol® K 5229 is a mixture of fatty alcohol ether sulphate with fatty alcohol polyglycol ether. The product is free of diethanolamide and was specially developed for water-free formulations. The washing-active substance is composed of anionic and non-ionic components plus solvent.
Of these, 40-45% are anionic active ingredient = MIPA-Laureth Sulfate. It has 93% active ingredients with a ph-value of 7 when tested in a 10% solution.

But beware, when using essential oils, a colour change in the final product has been noticed. Therefore, when using different essential oils, test a small amount first. Use concentration of these additives: 2.0 - 5.0%.
