INCI: Dehydroxanthan Gum

A-Polymer XT is an anionic, natural, multifunctional styling polymer. It forms wonderfully stable gels without the stickiness that other gel formers sometimes exhibit. It is suitable for all gels, mousses, creams, lotions and styling products. The use concentration for gels is: 1 - 2% and for cream and lotion is: 0.25 - 2.5%.

A-Polymer XT is a physically modified food grade xanthan gum, where xanthan gum is a high molecular weight polysaccharide (MW > 4x106). Xanthan gum is a microbial biopolymer produced by fermentation of carbohydrates and plant proteins by Xanthomonas bacteria. These Xanthomonas bacteria are a naturally occurring organism. Therefore, A-Polymer XT xanthan gum is a natural product of the bacteria and only physically modified (heat treated) with no added chemicals.

A-Polymer XT is not certified Vegan, but does not contain any materials from meat, fish or poultry as raw materials or in processing, as well as all other animal products and by-products such as eggs, dairy products, honey, leather, furs, silk, wool, cosmetics and soaps made from animal products.
