Shikakai powder is a traditional Indian hair care product. It is made from dried fruit pods of the Shikakai plant. Shikakai cleans and cares for hair and scalp intensively - and does so very gently. Like a conditioner, it strengthens the hair and gives it shine and body.
Shikakai powder can soothe the scalp with its cooling, antiseptic properties. It also maintains the optimal pH value of the scalp. The anti-fungal properties of Shikakai nourish the scalp and prevent itching and dryness. When used regularly, it can help reduce dandruff. The hair gets a wonderful shine and becomes much easier to comb - especially if you have problems with frizzy hair, you can easily integrate this powder into your daily hair care routine.  Shikakai powder is free of artificial additives like surfactants, fragrances or dyes - completely vegetable and vegan. Because the hair shampoo powder consists of 100% Shikakai. The natural active ingredient closes the hair structure and helps the scalp to detoxify. It also prevents irritation and dandruff, reduces split ends and stimulates hair growth.

Applications:

- for a classic application put 2-3 tablespoons of Shiakai in a glass bowl and stir it with hot water to a smooth paste. Then apply the mixture to scalp and hair and massage in briefly. Leave on for 10-30 minutes (for blonded hair please do not exceed 10 minutes) and then rinse thoroughly.

- for Ayurvedic use, mix five tablespoons of Shikaikai with boiling water. This mixture is then left for two to twelve hours. Then strain off the brew and apply to scalp and hair. Wash out after about 15 minutes.

- for dry scalp, mix Shikakai powder with curd and almond oil in the ratio 2:1:2 and massage your scalp with this mixture 30 minutes before each scalp wash.
