Solaveil™ XT-40W combines an exceptional level of UVA protection with high UVB efficacy and enables the formulation of high SPF, broad spectrum sunscreen products using a single active ingredient.

Solaveil™ XT-40W uses an aqueous base to allow for flexible formulation and is ideal for the formulation of "green" cosmetics due to its natural composition. With this innovative water-based titanium dioxide dispersion, you can now create natural, globally approved high SPF sunscreen products that meet EU guidelines for UVA protection and have an excellent skin feel.

Solaveil™ XT-40W is the solution for self-stirrers. Easy to work with and applies beautifully. Suitable for O/W as well as W/O formulations.
However, as it whitens, it is particularly suitable for tinted day care products.

This is a white paste with a solid content of 50%. It can be used as a stand-alone sunscreen filter, or in combination with others.
The advantage of this dispersion is that the titanium dioxide is already dispersed, making it much easier to use than a dispersion with 100% solids, because the difficulty with sunscreen formulations is that the solids do not sediment. (does not settle to the bottom).

With about 1% solids you achieve an increase of 2-3 units in SPF.

Application concentration when used alone:

  8% gives an SPF of 10
22% results in an SPF of 25
