Colour family
INCI: Mica, CI 77491, CI 77499
Our micas offer a fascinating color change effect in a combination of gloss, reflection, brilliance and transparency. The color gradient observed depends on the direction of the light and the location of the viewer. These pigments are based on mica flakes coated with a thin layer of iron oxides and silica.
Micas can be combined with conventional pigments to create unlimited color effects. They comply with cosmetic regulations and can therefore also be used there. Micas are resistant to solvents and high temperatures. Please avoid grinding pearlescent pigments, as excessive mechanical stress on the pigments may cause the particles to break or damage the top layer of the pigment.
