INCI: Lactobacillus Ferment

Leucidal® SF MAX is a plant-based preservative based on Aktiv Micro Technologies. Leucidal® SF MAX can be used in a variety of cosmetic applications. For best results, we recommend a pH range of 3-8. The product should be added during the cooling process, at temperatures below 70°C.
A probiotic-based ingredient produced by fermentation of lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus) in a specific nutrient medium. These microorganisms are known for their ability to produce antimicrobial peptides to give themselves a survival advantage. This fermentation product is salicylate-free and provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial and skin conditioning properties.

M15025-Leucidal® SF Complete is a blend of 75% Leucidal® Liquid SF and 25% AMTicide® Coconut (a coconut ferment with antifungal properties).

M15019MAX-Leucidal® SF Max is Active Micro Technologies' newest product. Due to its higher content of antimicrobial peptides (bacteriocins), it is expected to be more active against competing bacteria, yeasts and moulds.

The Complete may work as a mixture in this ratio for some applications. In other applications, the mix ratio may not be optimal.

 M15019MAX-Leucidal® SF Max has, in our opinion, advantages over the Complete

- broad-spectrum antimicrobial including yeasts and moulds
- odourless (in the case of Complete, coconut odours from AMTicide Coconut can permeate)
- compatible with many formulations
