Leucidal® SF MAX is based on a probiotic starting material produced by the fermentation of lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus) in a special culture medium. These microorganisms are known for their ability to produce antimicrobial peptides that give them a survival advantage. The fermentation product is salicylate-free and offers both broad-spectrum antimicrobial and skin conditioning properties.
To achieve a reliable broad-spectrum effect, we recommend combining Leucidal® SF MAX with other co-preservative products, such as pentylene glycol or organic acids, e.g. potassium sorbate solution.
