This beeswax is of cosmetic quality. It is obtained from the honeycomb of the honeybee, physically bleached and refined. It is available in pelett form and is almost odourless.

It forms a flexible protective layer on the skin and improves the adhesion of formulations. It improves the texture and viscosity in W/O emulsions and anhydrous systems. In O/W emulsions, on the other hand, it improves the skin feel. Ideally suited for dry, chapped and irritated skin.

With its skin-caring properties, it is mainly used in creams, lipsticks and eyeliner pencils.
In mascaras, it strengthens the texture, promotes volume build-up through the formation of layers and increases the adhesion of fillers to the eyelashes. It is also perfect for providing hold in hair styling products.
