INCI: Cocamidopropyl Betaine

Betaine surfactant is a mild and natural surfactant obtained from renewable raw materials, which is well tolerated by the skin and mucous membranes. It has a stabilising effect on foam formation. In surfactant mixtures it has a slightly thickening and also bacteriocidal effect. It is compatible with all classes of surfactants except anionic surfactants at low pH. Betaine surfactant shows excellent chemical stability to oxidising agents. It is hydrolysis resistant and stable at very low and high pH. The perfect surfactant for shampoos, shower gels and foaming baths.
